  GEICO names winners in national Safety Poster and Video Competition      Business Wire      WASHINGTON -- May 15, 2012      Twenty-seven students from across the country were selected as national   winners for the 25^th anniversary of GEICO's Safety Poster and Video Contest. Calif.                                                          "Promoting safe driving remains a central issue at GEICO," said Tony Nicely,   GEICO chairman. "This year's national winners clearly visualized the   importance of safe driving and that helps us spread a powerful message."      GEICO invited students in grades 1-12 to design a poster from among three   different safety themes: the importance of wearing safety belts; no texting   while driving; and staying focused to prevent distracted driving. Students   between the ages of 14-18 submitted videos that captured the importance of   vehicle safety.      Serving as judges for this year's competition were Laurel Sims of the National   Highway Traffic Safety Administration; Alexandra Holiday from the Insurance   Institute for Highway Safety; and Chris Noel of Particle, a graphic design   firm. Each winner received a cash prize. Each winning poster and video is   prominently displayed on the GEICO Safety Poster and Video Contest website.
